Digitalising the Artwork.
When setting up a business, no matter what it is, there are always going to be skills that need to be learnt.
New businesses involve hours of research and practice.
We found the artist and transitioned the artwork to paper. These facts may be well and good, however in order to shift this artwork to a piece of clothing required digitalisation and fettling. I could have paid for someone else to do this for me, but then again I am inherently tight and won't pay for something if I think I am capable of achieving it myself.
I really do think it would have been easier to learn to become proficient at the piano than self-learning Illustrator and Photoshop to a clothing designer level. There is so much functionally across the programs meaning apparel design is a very long and draw out process. Like anything, once you know it is "easy" the challenge dwindles. This has only been learnt after hours of sacrifice, watching tutorials, and exploring the software which caused endless days of square eyes.
In all it is a great skill to have in your arsenal and will prove invaluable in the progression of Reverse Camber.
